Overview:
I work as an Assistant Rewinder Operator at ProAmpac, helping keep production moving smoothly and making sure our packaging comes out right. It’s a hands-on job where I support the operator, keep things organized, and step in wherever I’m needed.My Role & Responsibilities:
Help set up and run rewind machines, making sure orders are done correctly.
Catch and fix defects quickly so the final product meets quality standards.
Cut cores, wrap finished rolls, and handle materials throughout the shift.
Use forklifts/roll clamps at times to move big rolls safely.
Do basic maintenance and keep the work area clean and safe.
Fill in as Rewinder Operator when needed, picking up extra responsibilities.
Work closely with the team to keep everything running efficiently.
What I Learned / My Takeaways:
This job has pushed me to be more detail-oriented and confident with machinery. I’ve learned how important teamwork and communication are in a fast-paced production setting, and it’s taught me discipline, focus, and how to balance safety with efficiency on the floor. -

Overview:
Worked as part of a specialized roofing team focused on the installation of architectural sheet metal systems for roofing components. This role required precision, physical endurance, and strict adherence to safety protocols.My Role & Responsibilities:
Installed architectural sheet metal roofing and wall components such as copings, fascia, flashings, gutters, downspouts, wall panels, and standing seam roof panels.
Performed work on both low-slope and steep-slope roofs, ranging from 1:12 to 12:12 or greater.
Maintained proper use of body harnesses and Self-Retracting Lifelines at all times.
Loaded, unloaded, and organized materials on job sites to ensure efficient workflows.
Demonstrated consistent reliability and teamwork, contributing to the performance of the roofing crew.
What I Learned / My Takeaways:
This job challenged me to develop a high level of focus, discipline, and respect for safety in physically demanding environments. I learned how to work effectively on rooftops and at height, improved my attention to detail when working with custom sheet metal fittings, and strengthened my teamwork and communication skills on job sites where coordination was critical. -

Overview:
I served as a Software Engineering Intern for Brown County's internal IT department, contributing to the development of a custom ERP system using the Odoo framework. The project focused on improving internal operations and automating workflows across various county departments.My Role & Responsibilities:
Acted as an assistant developer on a research-driven ERP initiative tailored to the organization’s needs.
Designed and implemented backend features using Python and PostgreSQL.
Customized Odoo modules to support specific operational requirements and improve internal process efficiency.
Contributed to system architecture planning and participated in collaborative design sessions.
Created and maintained a ticketing system for IT management and maintenance, built within the Odoo platform.
Assisted in writing internal documentation to ensure consistent development practices and ease of maintenance.
Troubleshot bugs and collaborated with the team to test, debug, and deploy updates.
What I Learned / My Takeaways:
During my internship, I gained valuable hands-on experience with ERP development, specifically using the Odoo framework to create custom modules tailored to organizational needs. I deepened my technical skills in backend development through extensive work with Python and PostgreSQL, while also learning how to design efficient, scalable systems within a team setting. This role taught me the importance of clear documentation, collaborative problem-solving, and adaptability when working on internal software projects. I also developed a better understanding of how thoughtfully engineered software can streamline operations and improve workflows in public sector environments.

Overview:
Assisted in a research project in collaboration with faculty members to develop an AI-based image segmentation model for detecting pavement cracks. The project focused on building a high-quality dataset to train and evaluate the deep learning system.My Role & Responsibilities:
Collected, cleaned, and organized pavement imagery for dataset creation.
Annotated various types of pavement cracks (longitudinal, transverse, potholes, and alligator cracks) using Label Studio with polygonal segmentation.
Wrote Python scripts to preprocess image data—standardizing image sizes, renaming files, and adjusting formats for compatibility with training pipelines.
Ensured data consistency and structure for machine learning input following COCO dataset format.
Co-authored the final project report using Overleaf (LaTeX), contributing figures, dataset methodology, and written analysis for documentation and presentation.
Worked collaboratively with the research team to review model performance and iterate on data labeling quality.
What I Learned / My Takeaways:
This experience strengthened my Python programming skills in the context of real-world data preprocessing and image handling. I also gained firsthand knowledge of the AI research process, from data annotation to academic reporting. Working in Overleaf introduced me to professional research writing standards and collaborative editing in LaTeX. Overall, this project taught me how technical precision and clear documentation come together in effective research. -

Worked as a seasonal assembler at Parker Hannifin, a global leader in motion and control technologies. Supported high-volume production of hydraulic and pneumatic components through hands-on operation of manufacturing machinery and assembly processes.My Role & Responsibilities:
Operated a variety of industrial machines including crimpers, expanders, benders, saws, presses, rerounders, ovens, and washers.
Assembled and processed parts according to detailed engineering drawings and safety protocols.

What I Learned / My Takeaways:

I became proficient in interpreting instructions and performing mechanical tasks with minimal supervision. Returning over multiple summers also helped me build resilience, improve my time management, and contribute as a dependable member of the team. -
